I am in the process of trying to organise a Euro Polymer Carnival with Donna Kato, similar to the one which will take place this year in the UK.

At the moment we have not decided when it will be in 2009 but what we do know is that there will be hopefully 5 teachers or more (all well known awe-inspiring artists from around the world) and the location will be Lézignan Corbières area of the Aude. The nearest airport is Carcassonne.

If you are interested please could you contact me (or leave a message here).

Many thanks
Kylee

I am absolutly interested but that will depend on the costs. The travel, the stay over and the carnival it self.
Is it possible to give an estimate of teh total costs so that I know how much I have to save?? Laughing Laughing Laughing

The English one is costing approximately £200 this includes 9 workshops, refreshments, clay and a gala dinner.

I am sorry I can't be more precise at this moment in time. I will give more information as soon as I have it. I am currently waiting for Donna to advise on suitable dates etc.,

The UK one is actually £200 inc clay, food and drink during the day, plus gala dinner at £10!! Very Happy I am so excited and can't wait to go!

I am interested in one in France in theory, but not sure what DH would do - we are taking our caravan to UK one and he will go for all-day walks while I am claying - if he went sight-seeing in France I would be jealous!!! Laughing
Still, keep us posted........

Hi Kylee,
Thanks for the info. I would definitely be interested in possibly teaching at the 09 conference? Not sure if you have already selected teachers?? Any info on that would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Laurie Mika

With regards to DH n caravan....no problem as I would like to include wine tasting opportunities, sport for non participants in polymer and so on.... local camp sites too are also possible.....

I would love to come! Since we travel to France with our caravan every summer there won't be a problem with my DH ;). Any idea on the month yet?

Yep - count me in as well. I am going to the UK one this year and it is great to have it in other places as it gives more opportunity for people to go if it is in their own country. I would love to see Julie P teach - I love her work! But there are so many great artists in Europe too so I would love to learn more from European artists.

For dates - summer in France sounds just great to me although of course during August everyone is on holiday so getting accomodation might be a bit harder. On the other hand it is when people might be free. I really don't mind and would probably come en famille if it is in August. Otherwise just moi and I am afraid that is almost the extent of my French so will need translators if there are many French tutors!
